Homepage / Vendors
According to the homepage FX Profit Mountain was made by a friend of Ashkan Bolour a forex trader featured in the book “Millionaire Traders”. Here an short excerpt from the homepage:
We took Ashkan’s forex trading method and turned it into an unbelievable trading system – and we called it FX Profit Mountain. We programmed FX Profit Mountain based on how Ashkan picked his high probability trade setups in the forex markets.
Beside this story and some good explanations about profitable trading there is not a lot of information on the page. There is a backtest graph for one pair and some forward test statements for 1 month in 2009.
Delivery
As owner of FX Profit Mountain you get:
- the FX Profit Mountain Expert advisor (1 compiled .ex4 file)
- 3 custom indicatores (compiled .ex4 files)
- 2 template files (compiled .ex4 files)
Instead of a manual there is a restricted memberzone which contains all the instructions for the setup of the robot and the settings as well as additional tutorials and video instructions. The settings are described in a pdf-manual as well which can be downloaded from the memberzone.
Installation / License
The installation is done in a comfortable way after copying the robot and indicator files the predefined templates can be used for each chart which makes the installation quick and easy even it needs to be done on many charts as the EA trades a lot of different pairs.
The license is restricted to 1 demo and 1 live account and will be delivered with hardcoded account number usually within 24 hours after the purchase (we go ours already within 2 hours).
How does it work ?
The trading logic is built based on Stochastics and the Acceleration/Deceleration Technical Indicator (AC). To exit positions a fixed stoploss and a trailing stop are used. Optionally a fixed takeprofit and a one time move of the initial stoploss are offered.
Settings / Money Management / Broker Requirements
The settings allow to enable trading notifications either by mail or sound signals and to adapt all trading parameters. One Pair (GBPJPY) has a different setup which can be enabled with a predefined setting.
FX Profit Mountain uses fixed lotsize which does not fit to this promise in the faq-section on the hompage: The system comes with a trailing stop option, you can also use the system to alert you to trades, you can set a profit target, a stoploss and you can set the trading robot to risk a % of your account or you can set it to trade a set number of lots.
The robot automatically detects 4- and 5-digit price quotes and offers a setting to make it compatible with ECN style brokers.
Conclusion
A nice product which trades many currency pairs on the daily timeframe. The forward test will show if it achieves the profit goals on a mid- / long-term perspective.
