Homepage / Vendor

Actually the PipAndroid page does not contain a lot of information anymore beside the info that it is sold out. They claim to have a robot which is able to handle multi market conditions and to have proven and documented results.

Delivery

As owner of Pipandroid you get:
- the Pipandroid Expert Advisor (automatic installer)
- a 19 page PDF user manual
- some bonus indicators

Installation / License
The installation is easy and well documented. To run the EA you need to enter the Plimus Order Number in the EA properties to verify that you’re a valid customer.

How does it work ?

In it’s initial design Pipandroid seems to be a grid trading robot but later modified to have only 1 running trade at once. It trades mainly EURCHF and AUDNZD which have a small historical range. The EA trades only during a certain time of the day and uses ADX to filter trades. The trade exit is made by hitting a fixed take profit or at a predefined end time of the trading windows or in case the loss of the open trade exceeds a predefined value in $.

Settings / Money Management / Broker Requirements
The settings of Pipandroid are described in the manual. In terms of money management a fixed lotsize is used. The recommended lotsize from the manual is .10 for accounts >$500 and .20 for accounts >$5000. As the max loss is a fixed value this means mainly a completely different risk depending on the account size. As smaller the account as bigger the risk. The EA automatically adapts to 4-/5-Digit price quotes and support ECN-Brokers which require market orders. As it trades AUDNZD it will need a broker which offers a low spread on this exotic pair.

Conclusion
This EA looks like an interesting product at the first moment but does it really make sense to close a position just at a give time ? What is a maximum floating loss for if we only have one open trade ? We tested Pipandroid during 10 weeks on a demo account and it was not profitable. This may be caused by the fact that both pairs traded actually don’t behave as usual and on the other side the broker we tested with does not offer a good spread on AUDNZD.
